Andrew Brown is a journalist and writer. He works for The Guardian as editor of the Belief section and writes a weekly web column, “Worm’s Eye View”. A former religious affairs correspondent for The Independent, he has also written for The Times, The Sunday Telegraph, Daily Mail, The Spectator, New Statesman, News of the World, Vogue, New York Review of Books, and Salon. In 1995, he won the first annual Templeton Prize for the best religious correspondent in Europe. His most recent book is “Fishing in Utopia: Sweden and the Future That Disappeared” (Granta, 2008).
