Hamid Mir, a Pakistani journalist, editor, terrorism expert and security analyst, has hosted the popular political talk show “Capital Talk” on Geo TV since November 2002. He began his career in journalism in 1987 as a sub-editor, then reporter, for the Daily Jang in Lahore. In 1996, he became the youngest editor of a national newspaper (Daily Pakistan) at the age of 30. He joined Geo TV as the Northern Region editor in 2002. Hamid Mir has interviewed Osama bin Laden three times – for the Daily Pakistan in 1997, for the Daily Ausaf in 1998, and for the Daily Dawn in 2001. The third interview was the first bin Laden gave to any journalist after 9/11.
